"The sake which calls spring to mind."

Founded in 1918, Osaki, Miyagi prefecture.

Kambai Brewery is located in the middle of the beautiful countryside of “Osaki Koudo”, which is recognized as a Globally Important Agricultural Heritage System.

Their business began when the founder, Sekijiro Iwasaki, made delicious sake using local rice.

The biggest turning point for them was the collapse of the brewery in the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake.

It suffered great damage from the earthquake, and its management fell into a very difficult situation.

However, a young couple, Kenya Iwasaki and Mana Iwasaki, who took over this brewery management from their father, they turned this adversity into great growth.

With the support of local people and fans all over the country in mind,

They thoroughly looked themselves and discuss what they are, and what they can, what the strong points is, the concept, policy, everything,

And they finally got one wish.

+Thank everyone involved and make everyone happy.

+We want to make sake that tastes good in one glass and that brings spring to one’s heart.

Now, even in Miyagi Prefecture, which has many talented breweries, it has grown to be one of the most popular and highly rated breweries.

All sake rice used is from Miyagi prefecture.

Also, from spring to summer, they make their own sake rice by themselves in the rice field that spreads out in front of them. They use their rice for sake too.

They have two faces. One is sake brewing expert and the other, rice farming expert.

The knowledge of rice, this may be the secret behind their beautiful sake.

Miyakanbai is elegant & fruity sake with a refreshing mouthfeel and the sweetness and umami of rice.

Now it has grown to be one of the most popular breweries in Japan, but they are not a big brewery.

If you have a chance to visit, you will find the brewery surrounded by rice fields.

All the brewers working there seem to be having fun like family,

And you also can see how seriously they are making sake.

Whenever I meet the Iwasaki couple, they always welcome me with a kind smile.

It's like a sake they make. It’s very charming, bright and kind personality like spring.

Their atmosphere will surely envelop the entire brewery,

And it will show up in their sake.

Once you drinking their sake, your face will smile like in the springtime.
